What are we covering?
.In math, we will cover measurement and graphing. We will learn to measure in centimeters, inches, feet, yards, and meters. We will learn about line plots, picture graphs, and bar graphs.
In reading, we will ask and answer questions to deepen understanding of a topic and gather additional information. We will read informational texts to include science, social studies, and technical texts. We will then move into reading and comprehending literature to recount fables and folktales, finding the central message or lesson.
In writing, we will work on opinion writing and move into research writing as we research an insect and use technology to display our learning. We will then move into imaginative writing.
In social studies, we will learn about geography and environmental literacy.
In science, all classes are learning about life cycles of insects. Caterpillars have gone into the chrysalis stage and we should have butterflies soon!
